Education is a process of living not just by learning. One way to exemplify the idea of “living” is to learn by doing. The act of art making should be, free of assessment, rigor and results-based learning. On the other hand it should be stimulating, child centered and most importantly encourage inquiry. This could be achieved by implementing a Reggio Emilia approach to enhance an art making experience. This experience will provide lifelong problem solving skills, intrinsic self-motivation, active citizenry and build intellectual capacity.
